The mission of the Mechanical Engineering graduate program is to provide students with advanced learning in the classroom and mentoring to conduct cutting-edge research in the areas of mechanical systems, or manufacturing/controls. The primary goals of the program are to develop the scholastic ability, independent creativity, and professional competence of the student to a higher level than is possible in an undergraduate program.

机械工程主干课程旨在使学生全面了解机械工程专业中机械系统、制造和控制领域的基本原理。

七、学位论文工作/Dissertation Requirements
学位论文选题要求、学位论文形式及标准、论文答辩及授位要求等
对于硕士论文,学生应遵循开题报告和论文答辩两个过程。开题报告应在第三学期末完成,字数在8000字以上,主要包括文献综述(英文参考文献不少于20篇)和选题。硕士论文的选题应具有一定的技术难度和一定的理论深度和先进性。独立工作(实际工作时间至少一年)。论文答辩由学术咨询委员会主持,学生针对提交的书面硕士论文进行口头汇报答辩。
As to the master’s thesis, students should follow two processes, opening report and thesis defending. Opening report should be completed by the end of the third semester with more than 8,000 words, mainly including literatures review (with no less than 20 references in English) and topic selection. Topics of master’s theses should be of certain technical difficulties, and certain theoretical depth and advancement. Theses should validate sufficient independent work (the actual working period should be at least one year). The thesis defense is presided by the academic advisory committee, and the students will be examined orally over the written thesis.
